Lô Politi is a director and screenwriter. Her debut film, JONAS (2016), won the Special Jury Prize at the Rio International Film Festival and is available on Netflix in 190 countries. Her second feature film, SOL ( 2022), received critical acclaim and secured awards at festivals such as Rio, Miami, Los Angeles, and Brics. Lô also directed the documentary ALVORADA PALACE (2021), exploring the impeachment of Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, earning her the Best Direction award at the CCXP Awards. Her latest film, MY NAME IS GAL (2023), portrays the life of Brazilian singer Gal Costa between 1966 and 1971 and was released to great critical and box office success. Since then, it has been participating in various festivals, including those in Rio, Havana, Los Angeles, Paris, etc. She is now working on APNEIA (fiction), her 5th feature film, which is expected to be released in 2025.
Lô received a fellowship to participate in the Cine Qua Non Lab 2024, and became part of the Talent Network.
