Mariana Oliva is a partner, co-CEO and producer at Maria Farinha Filmes, a leading production company in Latin America dedicated to creating impactful entertainment.
She has produced documentaries and fiction in different formats, bringing the best of LATAM's talent to a global stage. Recent productions include the second season of the hit drama series Aruanas (Globo/Globoplay); documentaries such as The Beginning of Life 2 (Netflix), A Crime Amongst Us (Globoplay), and The Sound of the River (Youtube). She also produced The Edge of Democracy (2019), the critically acclaimed and Oscar®️-nominated Netflix Original, winner of Peabody and Platino awards. Mariana directed and produced the documentary Piripkura, 2017 (Prime Video), winner of the Amsterdam Human Rights Award (IDFA), Best Documentary (Rio Int. Film Festival), and Best International Film (Docville). She is a member of the Academy of Science and Film.
Mariana was awarded a fellowship to attend the EAVE+ 2023 in Luxembourg.
