Dira Paes is one of the most awarded actresses in Brazilian cinema. She started her career in the super production "The Emerald Forest" (Cannes) and has participated in important national productions such as "Divine Love" (Sundance and Berlinale), "Bog of Beasts" (IFFR), "The Dead Girl’s Feast" (Cannes) and "Two Sons of Francisco" (one of the biggest box office hits in the country). In total, Dira has a curriculum of 38 feature films, 7 series and 16 soap operas. She is also known as one of the founders of the NGO Human Rights Movement (MHuD), which develops a series of activities for the environment and human rights.
