Murilo Deolino is a director and screenwriter from Bahia, born in Valença, who began his audiovisual career in 2008 working in different areas of television, advertising and cinema. In 2012, together with other members, he creates the collective ÊPA Filmes where he develops a cinematographic production focused on the discussion of social dramas, producing fiction films, series and documentaries. He starts his career as an Advertising Copywriter in Itabuna, in 2008 he starts working as a Reporter and Video Editor at the IEB group in Valença-BA. In 2011 he joins the DIMAS staff as an image editor. In 2015 he joins TV Aratu as a video editor, coming in 2016 to work as Director and Videomaker at Ative. Between 2018 and 2020 he starts acting as an independent Director in TV and Internet advertising films. In 2021 he becomes a founding partner of the company Mantu Filmes.
Murilo received the Paradiso Award at the FRAPA Lab 2021 Screenplay Contest in the Series Pilot category with "JIMEN", written in partnership with Paulo Bono.
