Graduated in Screenwriting and Directing from the School of Visual Arts, Julia Anquier wrote and directed the short film "FAREWELL TO FLESH" in 2017. The film premiered nationally at the Rio Film Festival and, in 2019, was nominated for the Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro. Julia created the web series "¼ Dela" and collaborated on the tv show "HE, SHE, THEY" (HBO) and "KISSING GAME" (Boca a Boca, Netflix). In 2023, she wrote the feature documentary "HELO", about Heloisa Teixeira. That same year, she was selected for the Torino Film Lab NEXT with the series "TERRA DO MEIO". Her feature film "SANGUEIRO" was a finalist at the FRAPA competition and was selected for the Torino Film Lab Extended 2024. In 2025, the series "AMORA", which she co-wrote and developed alongside Thais Guisasola, went into production for Canal Brasil. Adapted from the book by Natalia Borges Polesso, the series is directed by Juliana Rojas. Since 2025, she is a Development Executive at RT Features.
Anquier was awarded a fellowship to the TFL TV Next Series, in 2023.
