Born in Ubajara, in the interior of Ceará, and holding a degree in History. He began writing inspired by the soap operas he watched alongside his mother. In 2016, he became a semifinalist in GloboLab, a idea laboratory promoted by Globo, with the project for the web series "Com os Próprios Erros". The following year, he was invited to the idea laboratory of "Lazinho Com Você," a program hosted by Lázaro Ramos. Still in 2017, he interned as an assistant director on the film "Os parças," directed by Halder Gomes. In 2021, he was one of the twelve scholarship recipients of "12 New Voices," the first Fulbright Brazil course for novice screenwriters. There, he developed the script for the feature film "Esta Cidade é Um Deserto Sem Você", selected for the New Stories Lab (2022) and winner of the FRAPA scriptwriting competition (2023). He is the author of the book "O rio que me corta por dentro" and he is one of the screenwriters for "O melhor amigo", Allan Deberton's second feature film..
In 2023, Raul received the Paradiso Award at FRAPA, and became part of the Talent Network.
