Ana Júlia Silvino is a film critic and researcher. She graduated in Radio, TV and Internet from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) and has several publications in books, film catalogs, electronic magazines and blogs such as Revista Cinética, Verberenas, Camarescura, Multiplot and Descolonizarte. She is the editor of Revista Descompasso, an independent vehicle for the exercise, practice and expression of critical writing about cinema and music. She is currently dedicated to understanding how music and noise artistically mark or (re)invent contemporary Brazilian cinema. She has participated in training programs such as the 5th Talent Press Rio (2021), was Young Jury - 24th Tiradentes Film Festival (2021) and Young Jury - Juiz de Fora Film Festival and Mercocities (FIRST PLANO - 2020). She was a curator of Cineclube Lumière e Cia (2019-2021) and curator of the 1st feature film script competition at the Fade to Black International Festival (2021). In addition, she was invited by Instituto Moreira Salles to collaborate with the podcast Música Negra do Brasil on Rádio Batuta.

Ana was awarded a fellowship to attend the Film Curating Studies master’s degree of Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola in San Sebastián, Spain, in 2023.
