André Di Franco is a filmmaker, producer, film programmer, art educator and anthropologist by training. He is currently starting his master's degree at Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola. He is in the late production of his first feature film, Palimpsest, selected for the Brasil CineMundi - International Coproduction Meeting. Also, the films made in his cinema workshops for young people were shown at important festivals in Brazil. He is the founder of the cinefronteira collective, through which he programmed numerous film sessions and published the booklet Comum: faça você mesmo em cineclubismo(AIC). In 2017, he sat on the Young Jury of the Festival of Tiradentes and on the Critics Jury of the Festival Ver e Fazer Filmes. From January 2019 to September 2021 he was the cabinet advisor of the Municipal Secretary of Culture of Belo Horizonte / Brazil, responsible for conceptualizing and coordinating the Municipal Audiovisual Development Program, BH nas Telas.

André was awarded a fellowship to attend the Film Curating Studies master’s degree of Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola in San Sebastián, Spain, in 2021.
