Bárbara Defanti is a producer and line producer. Born in Niterói, RJ has a bachelor's degree in Media Studies. At Sobretudo Produção, her production company produced the documentaries "Meia Hora and the headlines that made the Headlines" (2015) and "A Place to take away" (2012) and short films as "Borá" (2017) and "Demônia - a melodrama in three acts" (2016). Produced independent exhibitions in cultural centres and film festivals and was the content coordinator for the Anima Mundi animation festival. Was involved in the executive production of projects for other production companies, such as the recent "Jaguar Man", by Vinicius Reis, and "Unremember", by Flavia Castro. She is currently preparing to release the feature "The Club of Angels", by Angelo Defanti, based on the book by Luis Fernando Verissimo and in co-production with Portugal. Also coordinates the development of the company's creative core, financed by the Brazilian Audiovisual Sector Fund.

 

In 2021, Bárbara was awarded a fellowship to attend the EAVE Puentes.
