Carol Rodrigues is a director and screenwriter. She is preparing to film her first feature, "Sister-maids", which won the Best Screenplay Award at the Cabíria Festival 2023, along with three awards at Brlab 2017. She was also a finalist at Frapa 2020 and took part in Cinélatino 2018 in Toulouse and the Audience Design Workshop in TorinoFilmLab. Carol has also made award-winning short films such as " Doll and Silence", "Their Happiness" and "Mother Doesn't Cry", which she co-directed and co-scripted with Vaneza Oliveira. She was one of the directors of the Star+ TV show "Americana", which is expected to be released in 2024. As a screenwriter, Carol has worked on "Brainiacs", "3%" and "Joint Venture", and was nominated for Screenwriter of the Year at the ABRA Awards in 2020. Carol has also worked as a Creative Executive at Amazon Studios, leading projects such as "Lov3" and the second season of " September Mornings", as well as co-leading "Love is for the Strong Ones". As a tutor, she has participated in several programs, including Netflix's Segundo Ato, Apan's LAB Negras Narrativas, Frapa[LAB], Vila das Artes, Porto Iracema and the Empoderadas project. She has a degree in Audiovisual from the University of São Paulo and in Social Sciences from the University of Campinas.
Carol received the Paradiso Award at Cabíria Award 2023 for Best Film Script with "Criadas"
