Diego Paulino is a filmmaker and screenwriter. He has a BA in Image and Sound from UFSCar and an exchange degree from the University of Lethbridge, in BFA: New Media. He wrote and directed the documentary NEGRUM3 (2018) awarded in more than 40 festivals (Best Film at Mostra Tiradentes 22, Best Film at MIX Copenhagen 2019) and screened throughout Brazil and abroad in festivals such as Sheffield Doc Fest, Queer Lisboa and FestCurtas BH. He is a partner and executive producer at Reptilia Produções. He was Writing Coach at CoLABoratório Criativo 2021 and consultant at Lab Negras Narrativas and Lab Curta SESC Santos. He developed a non-fiction series for Amazon Studios Br, was scriptwriter-collaborator in a fiction series for CineBrasil TV. Paulino develops his work around themes of the black diaspora, fantasy and science fiction. He is currently developing the feature film "Umconfortable Experiences on Cloudy Days" (Reptilia Produções, Volta Filmes, Vitrine Filmes) and the fiction series "FISSURA" within the Diaspóricas Creative Center.

Diego received the Paradiso Award for Best Project at Diáspora Lab.
