Dora Amorim is a partner at Zebra Filmes (alongside Júlia Machado) and has been working as an audiovisual producer since 2010. She graduated in Journalism from the Federal University of Pernambuco and has also worked as a journalist for Revista Continente and Jornal do Commercio. She produced the feature films A SEITA, by André Antônio; CAMOCIM, by Quentin Delaroche; BLOQUEIO, by Victória Álvares and Quentin Delaroche; DEUS TEM AIDS, by Fábio Leal and Gustavo Vinagre; and RIO DOCE, by Fellipe Fernandes. In recent years, she has participated in major national (Brasília FF, Rio IFF, São Paulo Show) and international festivals (Cannes Critic’s Week, Winterthur IFF, Chicago IFF, Rotterdam IFF, Locarno FF) with the short and feature films from Ponte Produtoras, of which she is also a partner. In 2024, she launched the features AINDA NÃO É AMANHÃ, by Milena Times, at the Rio Festival (Best Actress), and SALOMÉ, by André Antônio, at the Brasília Festival of Brazilian Cinema (Best Film of the Public Jury, Official Jury, and Critic’s Jury, Best Art, Best Soundtrack, Best Screenplay, Best Supporting Actress). She is also the production director of the Janela Internacional de Cinema do Recife, one of the most prestigious festivals in the country. Additionally, she collaborates with Emilie Lesclaux and Kleber Mendonça Filho at Cinemascópio Produções and has worked as an executive producer on films such as AQUARIUS, by Kleber Mendonça Filho; BACURAU, by Kleber Mendonça Filho and Juliano Dornelles; and RETRATOS FANTASMAS, by Kleber Mendonça Filho; DORMIR DE OLHOS ABERTOS, by Nele Wohlatz; and SEM CORAÇÃO, by Nara Normande and Tião. More recently, she worked on the feature film O AGENTE SECRETO, by Kleber Mendonça Filho, starring Wagner Moura. Recently, she signed on as the executive producer for projects with Netflix, Galeria Filmes, and Globo, including the second and third seasons of the series RENSGA HITS. Dora Amorim has participated in important labs and markets such as Cine Mundi (Brazil), BRLab (Brazil), LoboLab (Argentina), Torino Film Lab (Italy), and Marché du Film (France). In 2021, she was part of the Berlinale Talents program as a producer. In 2025, she was selected for the EAVE+ program and joined the Rede Paradiso.
