Fernanda Lomba was born and is based in São Paulo. She works at the intersection of production, direction, training, and brazilian audiovisual industry policies. With experience in market analysis she has made contributions to international festivals and markets, such as serving as a Jury member for the Doc-in-progress at the Cannes Doc Festival (2023) and Grant Application Reviewer for Firelight Media (2022). Lomba is a co-founder and the current director of NICHO 54, an institute that provides support for the careers of Black professionals in the audiovisual industry. She created the Nicho Executiva methodology, a mentoring and international exchange program for Black executive producers. Lomba has worked on feature films and documentaries for cinema and TV. Lomba wrote and directed the short film 'A Noite' (15' | 2021) by invitation of the Embassy of Germany in São Paulo.
Fernanda was awarded a fellowship to participate in Cité Internationale des Arts 2024, and became part of the Talent Network.
