Flora Dias is director and cinematographer based in São Paulo, Brazil. As DoP, she made "Necropolis Symphony" (2014 Mar del Plata IFF), "Dopplegänger" (2012 Semaine de la critique) and "California" (2015 IFFRotterdam). In 2019, she premieres three films at the IFFRotterdam and IndieLisboa: the features “Your Bones and Your Eyes” and "Yellow Night”, and the short “First Act”. As director, she directed "The Sun against My Eyes” was developed at the Bafici Talent Campus and premiered at the 2013 Mar del Plata IFF. She also directed the shorts “West”, “Mirage“ and “Pytang”. With “The Intrusion”, her second fiction feature, she participated on the 2nd LoboLab Intl. Co-Production Meeting, on the 8th New Stories Development Lab, the 9º BRLab - Development Lab, and the 2º Ventana Sur Proyecta Lab. The project won the Hubert Bals Co-Production Fund, the Swiss fund Visions SudEst and São Paulo Film Comp. Fund. Shot in January 2022, “The Intrusion” is now in post production.
Flora was awarded a fellowship to attend the Apichatpong Weerasethakul Lab: filming in the Amazon 2022.
