Juliana Sakae, partner at Muritiba Filmes, is an executive producer and documentary filmmaker focused on social issues, human rights, and children. In Los Angeles, Juliana worked on various film productions and was the manager of the International Documentary Association Awards, where she entered the world of awards. Juliana coordinated Oscar campaigns, including the New York Times' Oscar-nominated short film Walk Run Cha-Cha in 2019, as well as the Brazilian films Babenco - Someone Has to Listen to the Heart and Say: Stop, Private Desert, Breathing Underwater, Incompatible with Life, and Mãri Hi. In 2022, she was part of the committee responsible for selecting Brazil's submission for the Best International Feature Film at the Oscars. She also directed Antigirl, a short documentary about a street artist in Los Angeles, and contributed to other notable projects such as The Human Trial and the Emmy-winning Netflix series Making a Murderer.

Juliana received a fellowship to participate in Produire au Sud, and became part of the Talent Network.
