Maíra Bühler is a director and screenwriter. Her latest film, "Let It Burn" circulated in several major documentary festivals around the world, winning the Best Film Award at the International Competition in "Curitiba Int'FilmFestival, the Jury Special award at "Havana Festival" among others. Maíra has also directed 3 others documentaries: "I Touched All Your Stuff" (2014) which premiered at FiD - Marseille Festival; "She Dreamed That I Died" (2011) and 3.5 Overpass, winner of the Brazilian competition of the festival "It's All True". As a screenwriter she has worked with directors such as Anna Muylaert, Cao Hamburger, Marcelo Caetano, Beatriz Seigner, Armando Bo and Matias Mariani with whom she worked in the film "Shine Your Eyes" (2020) premiered in the Panorama section of the Berlinale.

Maíra was awarded a fellowship to attend the Taller de Líneas Argumentales (Cine Qua Non Lab) in 2022. She was also selected for the Hubert Bals Fund with her project "O casamento".
