Milena Times has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a master's degree in Communication and Society. She has been working in cinema since 2007, acting mainly as assistant director, screenwriter, and director. She founded the production company Espreita Filmes and her two short films – Dam (2016) and Au Revoir (2013) – participated in several national and international festivals and together they won about 20 awards. She also co-directed with Hilton Lacerda the TV series Chão de Estrelas (Canal Brasil/Globoplay), a 2022 Cinema Brazil Grand Prize finalist. With her first fiction feature film project, currently in post-production, she participated in BrLab in 2017 and in Cabíria Lab in 2020, as a finalist for the Cabíria Screenplay Award.
Milena was awarded a fellowship to develop her second feature film in the Ibero-American Audiovisual Project Development Course (CDPAI), in 2023.
