Thais Pontes is a screenwriter from Rio de Janeiro. She is the co-creator, alongside Renata Andrade, of “Encantado’s” (Globoplay and Globo TV), a series that won the APCA Award for “Best Comedy Series” in 2022 and the ABRA Award for “Best Script for Comedy Show” in 2022/2023. "Encantado’s" is entering its third season. She participated in Globo's “Humor Writing Workshop” and has written for the shows “Escolinha do Professor Raimundo”, “Zorra,” and currently contributes to the segment “Mulheres Fantásticas.” Thais has published chronicles in the books “Amores Confinados” and “Tempus Fugit.” She was a writer for the “Sim à Igualdade Racial 2023” award. She is the playwright of “Hidro,” contributed to the sketch show “Extra!Ordinárias,” and is one of the creators of the play “Mãe Baiana.” She has been a judge for series script laboratories and a speaker at numerous audiovisual and diversity events. Thais won the ABRA/Projeto Paradiso 2023 Award for “Screenwriter of the Year.” Currently, she is participating in the Cria Globo - Autores de Novela 7pm program.
Thais received the ABRA/Paradiso Award in 2024 and became part of the Talent Network.
