Graduated in Advertising and Audiovisual, both in Fortaleza, Ceará. He worked in productions by many Brazilian directors. Worked in festivals such as Cine Ceará and For Rainbow, was the producer of the Cinema Laboratory of the Porto Iracema das Artes School and of the Creative Nucleus of Inflamável, by Karim Aïnouz. Was production manager of the series Cangaceiro do Futuro (Netflix) and Lana & Carol (Tv Brasil/EBC), the feature films Bem-Vinda a Quixeramobim (2022), by Halder Gomes, Cabeça de Nêgo (2021), by Deo Cardoso and Se Arrependimento Matasse (2019), by Lilian Moema. Produced Greta (Panorama Berlin 2019) and Fortaleza Hotel (2022), by Armando Praça and the series Meninas do Benfica (2022), by Roberta Marques. He currently runs six projects as a producer, in different stages of production, including the animation Glória e Liberdade, by Letícia Simões and the feature Amores Paraguayos, by Janaína Marques.
Maurício is the producer of "Paraguayan Loves", a feature film selected for the First Cut Lab Paradiso Brazil 2022, an online consultancy program designed for fiction feature films in early editing phase. He was also awarded a fellowship to attend the Produire au Sud 2023 workshop as the producer of "Where You’re Headed".
